The Flash Vs Reverse Flash the Flash Funny

One of the greatest super-villains to exist in the DC Universe is Eobard Thawne a.k.a. the Reverse-Flash, The Flash's biggest nemesis. While Superman has Lex Luthor, Batman has The Joker, Barry Allen's most iconic foe has been the villainous speedster that has been in the mythology for decades. Even though there have been many speedster villains in the comics, there is nobody quite like Eobard that plays an integral role in Barry's life. That has been reflected on The Flash TV show where Eobard has gone from being the main baddie to popping up every once in a while.

Reverse-Flash was even supposed to have a major part in the latest season, but due to the ongoing pandemic, those episodes never got filmed. But as vicious and powerful as Reverse-Flash is, it hasn't stopped fans from enjoying him. Just like with any fictional character, Eobard isn't immune to being mocked by the fandom through the many existing memes and fan-art that is out there.

10 A Hungry Speedster Is A Mad Speedster

Eobard's hatred for Barry has been a consistent theme within any Flash/Reverse-Flash storyline, whether it's in the comics or in the Arrowverse. But that's what makes their dynamic as powerful as it is, because of how complex their war is and how it all started.

However, what if Eobard's nasty mood can be traced down to one single issue? Given that speedsters do burn energy at a rapid pace, perhaps all Reverse-Flash really needs is a big buffet at Big Belly Burger.

9 If Eobard Thawne Had His Own Intro

Anyone who watches the majority of the Arrowverse shows is familiar with how some of them insisted on having a recurring "My name is…" monologue for the early series. Even though devoted fans would very unlikely to forget what they were watching, it didn't stop Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl from doing it for seasons.

If anyone were to be out of their mind to ever give Eobard his own monologue, it'd probably go something like this meme. If it was exactly like this meme, it would be perhaps the most absurd thing ever.

8 Why Barry Should Never Do An Eobard

What makes Barry better than Reverse-Flash is the fact that he doesn't use his super-speed for evil deeds, like murdering people in a flash. For all the time-travel mess that Barry has caused, one can only wonder how much worse Eobard's list must be. However, if Barry ever attempted at trying to pull a literal Reverse-Flash, let's hope it never ends like this meme or else Cisco is screwed.

7 Thawne's Army

Even when erased out of existence, Reverse-Flash always manages to find his way back into the Arrowverse. Legends of Tomorrow season 2 was one of those instances when he returned to existence and formed the Legion of Doom. By the end of that season, Eobard almost won in the most insane way possible.

Why have one Reverse-Flash when you can have an entire army of them? Because that is exactly what Eobard managed to pull off.

6 Reverse-Flash Being A Nasty Troll

Outside The CW, one of the best portrayals of Reverse-Flash is in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. While it may have had Justice League in the name, this was definitely a Flash film, without a doubt. The animated portrayal of Eobard Thawne was one of the winning points of the film. But nothing beats the moment when he basically became an Internet troll who just casually observed Barry's mess. As messed up as he is, the crazy truth still remains intact: Barry messed it up all on his own.

5 Regarding Reverse-Flash's Score

Blake Neely has been the Arrowverse's head composer ever since 2012 when the franchise came to life. With several spinoffs having come to life in the last few years, Neely has been one of Hollywood's busiest composers of all time.

However, when it comes to the Reverse-Flash score, there is still a big mystery about it. While it's definitely intimidating, why does it sound like a very intense helicopter? Either way, Neely has managed to make helicopters sound just a bit scary.

4 Reality Vs Fiction

Even though they're arch enemies on screen, Grant Gustin and Tom Cavanagh's relationship in real life is the complete opposite. The two actors, who have worked together for almost 7 years, have made their friendship pretty clear through interviews and social media. They have even worked on projects outside The CW drama. That's why it's always somewhat comedic to see how they're like their characters on-screen when everyone knows that they're close friends in real life.

3 When The Flash Got Too Comfortable

The Flash season 1 was celebrated partly because of how they did Reverse-Flash as a big bad. However, after Eobard ceased to exist, the DC drama decided to keep going with speedster villains. While Zoom and Savitar had their ups and downs, they were nothing in comparison to Reverse-Flash. But the biggest problem was when the writers began repeating themselves as Zoom had almost the same setup as Eobard did. Thankfully, the show hasn't had a speedster villain as their main foe since the third season.

2 How Eobard Could Have Saved The Crossover

The Crisis on Earth-X crossover was one of the darkest events the franchise ever put together as it featured Nazi versions of some of the beloved heroes. While it was odd that Eobard even went to Earth-X to work with Nazis, Reverse-Flash managed to return for this crossover.

However, a controversial moment that is still talked about today is the double-wedding as Oliver and Felicity decided to crash Iris and Barry's second attempt at getting married. Perhaps Eobard should have focused on stopping that than doing anything with the Nazis.

1 A Taste Of Your Own Medicine

Anyone who loves Cisco Ramon knows how painful it was when Eobard used his speed to murder him in the 15th episode of season 1. Thankfully, Barry's accidental time-travel managed to undo that scene, but it was still a horrifying image.

But perhaps Cisco got to have the last laugh as Eobard did have to face a similar fate during his run on Legends of Tomorrow. If only Cisco could have been there when Black Flash finally got Eobard, that would have been quite a rewarding moment.
